Christmas Custom Orders

Wanted to share a few custom outfits I made for customer this Christmas season.

Of course this first picture isn't a Christmas set but it was too cute not to share...these outfits are for the most polite and sweetest girls I know! Their parents have done a fabulous job in the parenting area!

 I call this "Tree Sisters."

Who knew elves could be sooo cute?! This set is for a high school friend's little girls. Each elf has hair and eye color that matches the little girl. Great idea Windy!

Yeah...and I don't know why this picture loaded side ways. If anyone does please let me know...

This gingerbread set is for a brother and sister that are 13 months apart! Kuddos to that mommy!!! :)

I ordered this green/white zig zag fabric back in October and was just itching to find a way to use it. These outfits were at my Christmas Open house. I think I made 3 sets of this style! I just LOVE the zig zag and plan to continue to find other outfits to sneak it into:)

Last but certainly not least...the real reason for the season. So simple and so beautiful...a baby in a manager!

From S & T's family to your family...we hope you have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Too late for pumpkins?

Just wanted to take a moment to say

Things I already knew

I wanted my first post to be "profound"...I wanted to share the reason behind why I sew...but I just had to share tonight's adventures first...

I found a new shirt/dress supplier...better prices but with one catch. All their clothing is WHITE and you have to dye it the color you want. Researched the whole dyeing thing and felt like if I could teach 1st grade then I should be able to dye clothes...

As I type the dresses are in the washing machine (final step) so we shall see if I can dye clothes...may have to stick to my day job!

Back to the title of this post...I don't cook very often but I know that what ever is in a pot full of hot water will be hot also...well that knowledge didn't stop me from trying to pick up HOT clothing and placing them into the washing machine with my BARE hands! I was so careful to use thongs to take the clothing out of the dye bath and place in a bowl...but I choose to use my hands to transfer the clothing from the bowl to the washing machine..

Another thing I knew but failed to remember...clothing dye will stain your skin! Well Duh! I knew that! But once again...so as I type this post I am typing with blue/turquoise finger tips....

Tomorrow I will tell my students that I ate to many blueberries so my skin is turning a shade of blue. They don't need to know that I hate blueberries:)

Well, I will be back with photos (I hope!!!) of my successful dye job!
